International Conference of Work and Organizational Psychology 2013

Konvikt – Art Centre of Palacký University in Olomouc

The conference is focused on the exchange of knowledge and approaches among the representatives of theory and practice. Key topics will be questions about:

  • labour market,
  • employment and family,
  • forensic and penitentiary psychology,
  • managerial psychology,
  • psychodiagnostics in work psychology,
  • psychology of the integrated rescue system,
  • traffic psychology.

We would like to welcome experts from educational institutions as well as commercial and public practice at the conference. It is also designated for students and general public, which deals with work and organizational psychology in its environment.

The conference is organized by the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University in Olomouc.

All of the types of the conference fees include the entry to the conference and the social program in the evening.

 

Rules for the active participation

If you are interested in active participation at the conference, there is a possibility of a lecture, workshop or poster session. You can also submit your abstracts to the conference publication.

First step is to upload an abstract of your planned paper to the registration system no later than 31st of March 2013. In case you uploaded it sooner, you can still edit the abstract up to this date. All abstracts will be in terms of their content considered by the program committee. You will be notified by 30th of April 2013 if your abstract was:

 

  • admitted to the form of participation of your choice (lecture, poster, workshop)
  • admitted to other form of participation than you chose at the registration
  • recommended for revision/amendment

 

1. Lecture

Time of a lecture: 20 minutes including the debate. 

In case of absence of the speaker from the same block, there will be a chance to equally extend the lecture.

The lecture is designated for a wide plenum of participants up to 150 people.

There will be standard technical equipment available for the presentation (laptop, projector, electronic pointer with a switch for the presentation).

Other technical equipment is necessary to request and specify in the application of the paper.

 

2. Workshop

Length of a workshop: up to 1,5 hours (state the convenient duration in the note while registrating).

Workshop is an interactive lecture with a smaller number of participants, maximum up to 30 people (you can specify the desired number of participants in the application).

During the workshop, there should be ensured interactivity between the speaker and the participants.

There will be also a technical support as specified in the application.

 

3. Poster

Maximum size of a poster is 90 x 120 cm.

Lengths of the poster sessions will be listed in the program.

Vertical placement – 90 horizontally x 120 vertically.

Authors are obliged to be present near their papers during the poster sessions.

 

Conference publications

The result of the conference will be two publications: 

Abstracts’ collection

  • abstracts of the papers, list of active participants
  • the collection will be equipped with ISBN

The main conference publication

  • main conference publication format is to be announced
  • according to the given format, the requirements for the content and formal look of the papers will be announced
